Vision Pilates

I have been involved in a few car resulting in me having neck and back issues.  I started practicing Pilates which helped with the back and Neck issues which soon becoming a far distant memory.

My new journey started in 2004 when I studied for a Cert III in fitness which allowed me to study Pilates resulting in me qualifying as a Pilates Instructor.  Further individual courses meant I qualified as a group instructor teaching Pilates, Aqua, Boxing, Indoor Cycling, Bosu and Bootybarre.  Although I was qualified in a number of different disciplines, the more I taught and practiced Pilates, the more my love for Pilates grew and the more I had the need to learn more.  I decided to redo my Pilates training with Polestar in 2011 as it is an International recognized company and I wanted to do a course that was recognized by a governing body, to make sure that I was getting the best training available.  I have upgraded my qualification and now have a National Studio and Rehabilitation Diploma in Pilates for Mat and Studio.  I am also a full member of PAA (Pilates Alliance Australia) which is an independent and non-profitable organization established by the Pilates industry as a regulatory body for control and quality. 

I have being teaching in the Salt, Kingscliff and Palm Beach area since we moved over from Perth in 2008.   It has been wonderful to see how many people are finding how Pilates is helping them move.  There are three quotes from Joseph Pilates, “You are only as young as your spine is flexible” and “Change happens through movement and movement heals’ “After 10 sessions you will feel the difference, after 20 you will see a difference and after 30 you will have a new body’.  I have witnessed how movement has helped people heal.  One of my dreams has been to open my own Pilates Studio, where I can keep the classes small and pay special attention to everyone participating in the classes. 

This dream has come true with us opening Vision Pilates in May 2016 in the Salt retail prescient.   I have introduced Barre classes so that one can also get their cardio fitness up. 

 My Vision is to create a community that uses Pilates as a way of keeping their body fit and healthy.
